Internet speed is slow

I upgraded my internet to 300 mbps yesterday. When I test the speed it is only around 50 mbps.
I went to the store, the guy told me to call support. First call, automated answering saying to reset modem. Nothing happened. Call second time with a long wait, the representative tested, the speed was 30 mbps.
She did not know what to do and told me someone will call me back. I’m waiting for the call.
Paying for 300 mbps but have only 30 mbps ( the rep tested)

How to get this resolved?
Did not get the answer both from real person in store and on the phone
