Xfinity connect app not connecting.

When trying to open Xfinity connect app I get a message saying connection could not be established. It has worked for years without issue but after the major internet issue you had the other day it does show new emails in the app but you cannot open them. I uninstalled and reinstalled the app with no difference. What can I do to fix this?

My husband and I are having the same issue since about Wed.  Xfinity assistance said they were getting multiple complaints and were working on the issue.  It is Sunday and still not fixes. What is going on??

Had same problem. Read a response that said works if turn off wifi. I did that, it worked. Turned my wifi back on, it works now. Fingers crossed!

I am constantly having this problem. WiFi on or off. Got so aggravated this morning, I uninstalled it...AGAIN ..and see if reinstalling will help, although this is my 3rd time doing that!

I have the same issue. I've tried it with my VPN on, with it off, on wifi, off wifi (at home, away from home), and reinstall of the app at least 3 times all to no avail.

I find that when it doesn't work, I turn my wifi off, try again and sometimes it works.  But this is totally unacceptable and I wish they could put someone on this who can finally fix it.  It worked perfectly for so long.  UGH

Marmil,

I agree that's it not acceptable and from my experience and the various forums tracking this issue it seems it has been happening since late May but they appear to be doing nothing ... including monitoring this forum and posting a comment about what they are doing.

Thanks for the suggestion but I have turned off my wifi and turned it back on along with other actions but it has not helped at all.

I rebooted my modem and so far things seem to be working.  Fingers crossed.

Been having this problem off and on for a few years. I tried all of the usual fixes like turning off and on Wi-Fi, turning off and on mobile data, checking all network connections, reinstalling the Xfinity Connect Mobile app to no avail. I recently discovered that if I sign out of the Xfinity Connect Mobile app, and then sign back in, my email functionality is restored after it re syncs with the server. I hope that helps somebody out there.

I have an android phone and checked the app permissions. I noticed that some of the permissions were blocked, including storage. I updated the settings to allow access and now my messages are loading.
