cable keeps going out and error code messages

For the last few days my cable has been going out and ending up with a black screen after receiving error code messages of XRE-03059 and RDK-03033. I have checked all the cables and rebooted the box several times and the problem does not fix itself. I have called customer service several times and they act like it is my fault the cable is not working. The only box I am having issues with is my main dvr box. The box is plugged into the tv using a single HDMI cord. Does anyone have any suggestions about how to handle this? I pay a lot of money for cable every month and can't watch TV.

Hello,

 

I have been having the same issues for months (I have 4 basic channel with XRE-03059 error), finally got it resolved. Try the following steps:

 

Press Xfinity button on remote 

move over to Settings / Gear

select Prefences

then General

scroll down to Prefer Best Available - turn this to off

press exit on remote.
